Hazrat Syed Misri Shah Rizvi (1840-1905) is also known as King of Kaafi (Poetry). He was a saint and a sufi poet, born in Nasarpur, Sindh. He lived most of his life in Nasarpur after travelling throughout the world to spread the word of Islam and Sufism. His poetry is written in seven different languages, and most of them are in Sindhi with some other in Hindi and Persian. The annual Urs of Syed Misri Shah takes place in Safar (Islamic Month) at Nasarpur, Sindh, Pakistan.
Misri Shah is one of seven saints guarding Karachi from natural disasters. He is also regarded as Abdullah Shah Ghazi’s brother.
