Jangu Jamali was popular commander of Mianwal Movement and there are many legends of his valor. The graveyard is located on a high hill near Village Murad Jangwani Jamali (Haleli), 1 km southeast of Johi. In the graveyard of Jangu Jamali, there are 12 tombs and one Masjid. There are fresco paintings on the walls of three tombs (including Jangu Jamali’s tomb), one Tajar and two Masjids.
Jangu Jamali was an influential, brave and brilliant chieftain of his clan, and his children today are known as Jangwani Jamali. His tomb is the best example of Kalhora architecture: the inner walls of the big tomb are ornately fresco-ed with floral designs, with unique color combinations. Fortunately, the paintings on the walls of his tombs have not been damaged over the years due to the care of his descendants.
The frescoes on the walls of the other tombs, Masjid and Tajar in the graveyard are also amazing and wonderful. The flora, fauna and geometrical designs are very interesting.
The tomb of Allahya Khan Jamali features the exposed brick structures of Kalhoro period.
